APRIL 1, 2020 - Notice/Update

Today, April 1, Gov. Ron DeSantis issued a new executive order (number 20-91) which restricts activities in Florida in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Very briefly, this is a statewide stay home order to stop coronavirus spread. In response, NFC has made the difficult decision to appropriately restrict campus access to only those employees needed to support and perform essential/critical services through May 1.

  • The NFC campus and NFC’s Live Oak location office will remain closed to the general public through May 1.

NFC Employees:

  • All NFC employees will move to remote work/work-from-home plans no later than April 2 at 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise approved by Management to continue with essential/critical on-campus work plans.
  • Remote work plans will remain in effect until further notice and at least through May 1.

NFC Students:

  • AA Students/Courses: Students and faculty will continue their academic work remotely/online.

APRIL 1, 2020 - Spring Commencement and RN Pinning Postponed

Due to the CDC guidance and extended US deadline to limiting all gatherings to less than 10 individuals, NFC has made the difficult decision to postpone its Spring 2020 Commencement Ceremony and RN Pinning Ceremony.

  • Ceremonies Postponed/Rescheduled: As timelines related to the pandemic remain uncertain, we will do our best to reschedule the commencement and pinning ceremonies, originally planned for early May, to a later date.
  • Virtual Celebrations Planned: We plan to celebrate and acknowledge the important achievements and milestones of our spring graduates virtually at the conclusion of Spring Term 2020. More details will be shared with our graduates.
