What is CLEP?

CLEP is a series of examinations that allow individuals to earn college credit for what they know, regardless of where they learned it. CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the United States. Exams are available in 34 subject areas.

CLEP exams are 90 minutes with the exception of College Composition, which is 120 minutes. Exams contain multiple-choice questions. CLEP exams are administered on computer. Students receive instant score reports following completion of the exam, except when there is an essay involved.
