A.S. Degree - Business Administration
This two year degree program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in Business Management and Administration.
NFC also offers three short-term Business Administration certificate programs that can be completed in one year or less. The programs can be taken individually or used as building blocks while completing the A.S. in Business Administration degree.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Students will demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking in resolving business-related issues.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to utilize appropriate technologies to retrieve, organize, critically evaluate and/or present information from a variety of sources as applied within the business environment.
- Students will demonstrate the competency in utilizing the following soft skills within the business environment-leadership, communication, problem-solving work ethic, interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to appropriately apply underlying business principles within the business environment.
ONLINE Degree Option
This program offers 8-week courses, designed to accelerate learning and improve retention of learning outcomes.
Related College Credit Certificates
Business Operations 18 Credit Hours
This is a short-term program that can be completed in one year or less. It is designed to equip students with a skill set for immediate employment or job advancement. All courses are included in the related Associate in Science Business Administration Degree program and can be used as building blocks toward completing that degree. The certificate is 18 credit hours comprised of a 15-credit hour program core plus additional 3 credit hours of specialized coursework. Admission requirements are the same as those for degree-seeking college credit programs. Students may specialize in one of the following areas: Banking, Management or Small Business Management.
Business Management 21 Credit Hours
This is a short-term program that can be completed in one year or less. It is designed to equip students with a skill set for immediate employment or job advancement. All courses are included in the related Associate in Science Business Administration Degree program and can be used as building blocks toward completing that degree. The certificate is 21 credit hours comprised of a 18 credit hour program core plus additional 3 credit hours of specialized coursework. Admission requirements are the same as those for degree-seeking college credit programs. Students may specialize in one of the following areas: Banking, Management or Small Business Management.
Human Resource Administrator 21 Credit Hours
The following program can be completed in one year or less. It is designed to equip career-seeking individuals with a skill set to gain immediate entry-level positions in human resources. Several courses are included in the related Associate in Science Business Administration Degree program and can be used as building blocks toward completing that degree. Although part of the College Credit Certificate in Business Operations, this certificate has specific required courses and no options. Admission requirements are the same as those for degree-seeking college credit programs.
