Build, Fix & Create: Explore Industrial Machinery

June 5-8, 2023

A camp designed to explore industrial machinery. The campers get hands-on experience in working with electric motors, hydraulics, machining, and welding. Information about careers in industrial machinery and mechanics will also be explored.

Grades: 9th-12th

Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Camp Fee: $25 

  • Enrollment Cap - 12 students per camp
  • Fee includes camp T-shirt 
  • Campers will need to pack a lunch

SUP Drama Camp 5th-8th Grade

June 12-29, 2023

*College closed June 19th for Juneteenth Holiday-No camps.

Sentinel Upstage Junior Players Camp: This is a 3-week camp for 5th through 8th graders. Campers will be taught drama production skills such as acting mechanics, production on tech (lighting and sound). Costuming and make-up, set design. At the end of the 3-week camp, students will have a production on showcasing the skills learned. This camp is for students interested in performance and/or backstage production on.

Grades: 5th-8th

Camp Fee: $225

STEM SEALS Summer Institute 2023 - Land Challenge 

July 10-15, 2023

Location: Morris G. Steen Jr. Science Learning Center, Building 34, and Colin P. Kelly Fitness and Wellness Center, Building 12

The STEM SEALs Summer Institute 2023 (LAND Challenge) is an immersive STEM camp for middle school students. Students will be introduced to robotics, microprocessors, coding, sensors, actuators, and electrical circuitry through building a land rover capable of autonomous navigation and remote-controlled operation. The six-day camp culminates with a competition where participants will get to showcase their rovers and skills.

The camp is scheduled for July 10th - 15th and is free but participation is limited. If possible, transportation may be provided to outlying counties. Students must bring their own lunch daily.

Grades: 6th-8th

Cross Country Camp

July 17-20, 2023

NFC’s inaugural Cross-Country Camp is designed to take your training to the next level! Runners will learn about nutrition, mobility, recovery, and training techniques from local high school track and cross-country coaches. Runners at all skill levels are encouraged to participate!

Camp Fee: $40, includes a shirt

  • Water and snacks are provided throughout the day
  • Campers will need to pack a lunch
  • Location: Colin P. Kelly Fitness and Wellness Center, Building 12

Health Scholars Camp

July 11th and 12th from 9am-4pm

$25 for the camp, bring their lunch both days, bring a snack if they want it to have any.

Middle school age (going into 6th grade up to graduated 8th graders). We will cap the registration at 20 campers. Description: Health Scholars is a summer camp that NFC is proud to have as a traditional time for young people to be educated. It has not occurred since pre-covid. WE would like to jumpstart the camp back with two days on campus for middle school age to come learn from NFC’s RN nursing students of the different topics of healthcare. Some topics include first aide training, health and fitness, and more!
