Advanced Placement®

Advanced Placement® (AP) exams are taken after students complete the corresponding AP course in high school. Students who earn required scores on an AP exam may receive college credit for their demonstrated mastery in these college-level subject areas. Students may transfer up to 45 credit hours based on their AP credit-by-examination scores. The student must be enrolled at NFC before credit is awarded.

A minimum score of 3 is needed to receive college credit.

See the passing scores and credit equivalencies for AP exams on pages 3-6 on the ACC Credit by Exam Equivalencies guide incorporated in 6A-10.024, F.A.C.

Contact your high school counselor for information about taking a high school course with corresponding AP exam.

Students must have their official AP Score Reports sent directly to NFC to receive credit.

Order your AP Score Report on the College Board website.
