Fiscal Assistant 1 - Staff Position

SUMMARY

Receipt all monies collected (including fees).  Ensure that all vendors are paid.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Below are listed the primary tasks identified for this position.  The duties articulated though not exhaustive, indicate the majority of the functions assigned to this position.  Other duties may be assigned based on institutional need.

Partial Duties Include:

  1. Acts as Business Office receptionist.
  2. Cashiering - collecting all monies received by the Business Office, including payment of student fees and receipting process.
  3. Open and distribute mail.
  4. Processes vendor payments using an of automated accounts payable system, ensuring that purchase orders, invoices, approval to pay, and other back-up materials are received prior to generating accounts payable/refund checks.
  5. Complete the process to generate and disburse accounts payable checks for payments to vendors.
  6. Performs proof and edit on all accounts payable checks.
  7. Process travel reimbursements, ensuring that all authorization and back-up documentation has been received prior to reimbursing employees for the travel expenses.
  8. Monitor and perform the petty cash process.
  9. Assists in the payroll function, to include compiling data, maintaining payroll files, verifying time sheets, processing payroll deductions, and preparing and submitting necessary benefit and tax reports.
  10. Sorts and disburses all payroll checks.
  11. Assists with the Petty Cash Fund.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (preferred) plus two years related experience and/or training.

English - Adjunct Instructor

Director of Allied Health (MSN Required) - Full Time Position

SUMMARY

The Director of Allied Health oversees and administers the Allied Health Educational Programs, which include the RN-BSN, ADN-RN, LPN to ADN-RN Bridge, LPN, Medical Coder and Biller and PCT programs, and provides supervision of all Allied Health instructional and non-instructional staff.

Program Development

  1. Review and assist with proposals for any new or modified programs in Allied Health.
  2. Review and update catalog copy and catalog maintenance forms for new or modified programs.
  3. Review and submit proposed lab fees for new or modified programs.
  4. Monitor programs for compliance of mandated state programs lengths and curriculum frameworks.
  5. Assure that new or modified programs comply with appropriate staff regulations, accreditation standards or other applicable mandates.
  6. Work with offices on campus to communicate opportunities related to new or modified programs in Allied Health.

Program Execution

  1. Certify payroll for OPS staff for Allied Health.
  2. Conduct annual performance evaluations for Allied Health faculty and forward these to the Associate Dean of Economic Development and Workforce Education.
  3. Make recommendations to the Associate Dean of Economic Development and Workforce Education for the hiring of Allied Health faculty and staff and work to ensure that hiring is conducted in accordance with College policies and procedures
  4. Review and submit proposed annual budgets for Allied Health.

General

  1. Conduct special projects as requested by the Associate Dean of Economic Development and Workforce Education.
  2. Provide Administrative support for grant programs in Allied Health.
  3. Serve on College committees as requested.
  4. Attend meetings, conferences and workshops relevant to instruction, curriculum and goals of Allied Health.
  5. Attend Allied Health Advisory Board meetings.
  6. Review and monitor expenditures in Allied Health.
  7. Oversee and be responsible for development of all Allied Health curricula.
  8. Teach classes as needed.

Allied Health Offerings

  1. Oversee and be responsible for RN-BSN, ADN-RN, LPN to ADN-RN Bridge, LPN, Medical Coder and Biller and PCT/CNA programs and Continuing Education for Allied Health, including all advertising and recruitment of students.
  2. Oversee and be responsible for evaluation of instructors.
  3. Negotiate articulation agreements with schools, hospitals, nursing homes, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a graduate degree with a major in nursing (MSN) ; Doctoral prepared preferred.
  • Must have at least six (6) years paid working experience as an RN.
  • This is a full-time (12 month) position.

Faculty Nursing Position - 11 Month
Registered Nurse wanted for full time Faculty Position (11 month). 

NFC is seeking an enthusiastic nurse educator.  Must have a current Florida unrestricted Registered Nursing license (and eligible for license in Georgia).  

Qualifications:     

  • Bachelors Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing or Pediatrics or Obstetrical nursing preferred.
  • Must have at least two (2) years paid working experience as an RN.  

This is a full-time (11 month) Faculty position.

  • Supervise care provided by nursing students in contracted long-term care, acute care,  and community facilities

  • Prepare clinical assignments
  • Prepare clinical lab and simulation assignments

North Florida College is looking for quality Adjunct Instructors to teach day and/or night Regular and Dual Enrollment College Classes. The following disciplines are needed:

Requirements: 

A Master's degree (or higher) in the discipline being taught or a Master's degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the discipline.


  • Chemistry Instructor: A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the chemistry discipline.

  • Biology Instructor: A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the biology discipline. Evening hours preferred.

  • English Adjunct: English Instructor. A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the English discipline.

  • Foreign Language: Spanish Adjunct Instructor. A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the Spanish Language discipline.
  • Math Adjunct Instructor: A Master's degree (or higher) in the discipline being taught or a Master's degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in Math. (Fall Semester)

  • EMS Adjunct Instructor: Must be a paramedic with at least 4 year’s experience and have successfully completed an associate's degree or higher. Must be willing to attend a 40 hour instructional methodology course.

  • Interpreter: For Deaf students - Must be certified. Degrees not required.
