Coordinator of Allied Health Special Projects (Full-Time)

Job Description

  • Department: Nursing & Allied Health

Qualifications:

  • Must have personal and educational philosophy compatible with the goals, objectives, and mission of North Florida College.

  • Associate's degree in Nursing plus two (2) years paid experience as an RN.

Full-Time Position:

The Coordinator of the Allied Health Special Projects is responsible for Assisting with curriculum development for Allied health programs; coordinating, organizing and maintaining Allied Health skills lab inventory; preparing curriculum and lesson planning, and other duties as assigned.

Partial Duties:

  1. Assist with curriculum development for Allied Health programs as needed.
  2. Prepare curriculum and lesson planning for 2021 LPN cohort (start date TBD.)
  3. Participate in professional development opportunities related to nursing education.
  4. Coordinate, organize, and maintain Allied Health skills lab inventory.
  5. Support and provide remediation of Allied Health nursing student skills and study habits as needed.
  6. Assist in the coordination and negotiation of clinical schedules with various contracted clinical sites as needed.
  7. Assist in the development, implementation, and management of skills lab activities and schedules.
  8. Assist faculty with development of appropriate patient scenarios that can objectively measure student competency on various skills and abilities.
  9. Provide support for teaching faculty's patient simulation scenarios and usage and serve as a mentor and facilitator for faculty and others wanting to use patient simulated activities.  
  10. Provide lab instruction when directed by the director as credentials permit.

Reports Developer

Job Description

  • Department: Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness
  • Application Deadline: Application packet must be received by Tuesday, November 24, 2020.   

Qualifications:

  • Must have personal and educational philosophy compatible with the goals, objectives, and mission of North Florida College.

  • A valid Comp TIA A+ certification “preferred”.

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of an Associate’s degree in MIS, CIS or a related field, or three (3) years of experience in a data management or programming position, including knowledge of relational databases.

Full-Time Position:

Responsibility includes report building, analysis of software usage, support and implementation of campus software, maintaining various data dashboards, and developing processes for software usage training.

Partial Duties:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain new reports for departments as needed.
  2. Design, develop, and maintain interactive website data dashboards.
  3. Design, develop, and support processes for the College where information collection and reporting are involved including all internal, state, and federal data reporting mandates.
  4. Administer end user training as needed.
  5. Work with all departments to ensure the proper utilization of administrative software and business procedures.
  6. Assist in the development, implementation, maintenance, and security of all software development environments including programming platforms, database systems, and reporting infrastructures.
  7. Conduct periodic needs assessment of current business functions and processes as they relate to information systems.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

English - Adjunct Instructor

English Adjunct: English Instructor. A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the English discipline.

Faculty Nursing Position - 11 Month
Registered Nurse wanted for full time Faculty Position (11 month). 

NFC is seeking an enthusiastic nurse educator.  Must have a current Florida unrestricted Registered Nursing license (and eligible for license in Georgia).  

Qualifications:     

  • Bachelors Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing or Pediatrics or Obstetrical nursing preferred.
  • Must have at least two (2) years paid working experience as an RN.  

This is a full-time (11 month) Faculty position. 

Estimated Start Date is: As soon as possible

Clinical Adjunct Instructors Needed - Nursing

Duties Include:

  • Attend clinical rotations with students
  • Maintain and evaluate clinical performance
  • Keep student informed of clinical performance
  • Supervise care provided by nursing students in contracted long-term care, acute care,  and community facilities
  • Assure clinical course objective are met
  • Prepare clinical assignments
  • Prepare clinical lab and simulation assignments

Looking for some part time income?

North Florida College is looking for quality Adjunct Instructors to teach day and/or night Regular and Dual Enrollment College Classes. The following disciplines are needed:

Requirements: 

A Master's degree (or higher) in the discipline being taught or a Master's degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the discipline.


  • Chemistry Instructor: A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the chemistry discipline.

  • Biology Instructor: A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the biology discipline. Evening hours preferred.

  • English Adjunct: English Instructor. A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the English discipline.

  • Foreign Language: Spanish Adjunct Instructor. A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the Spanish Language discipline.
  • Math Adjunct Instructor: A Master's degree (or higher) in the discipline being taught or a Master's degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in Math. (Fall Semester)

  • EMS Adjunct Instructor: Must be a paramedic with at least 4 year’s experience and have successfully completed an associate's degree or higher. Must be willing to attend a 40 hour instructional methodology course.

  • Interpreter: For Deaf students - Must be certified. Degrees not required.
