MADISON, FL — North Florida College is inviting students of all ages to discover new passions, build confidence and make lasting memories this summer through the 2026 NFC Future Sentinels Explorer Camps, themed “Discover. Create. Thrive.” 
 
From healthcare and workforce training to theatre, athletics, leadership and music, the camps offer hands-on learning experiences designed to inspire creativity, teamwork, confidence and career exploration in a fun and supportive college environment. 

Sentinels Explorer Camps Summer 2026

“Summer camps at NFC give students the opportunity to explore new interests, build friendships and gain confidence while learning in an
 engaging college environment,” said NFC Director of Student Engagement Melanie Morgan. “Whether students are discovering a future career path, developing leadership skills or simply trying something new, these camps are designed to create meaningful experiences that make summer both fun and enriching.” 
 
Students registered for camp will also receive a free NFC Future Sentinels Summer Explorers Camps T-shirt. 
 
June Camp Offerings:
 
  • Health Scholars Camp: June 22-25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for ages 6-12. The camp introduces students to healthcare careers through hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences.
  • Career & Workforce Exploration Camp: June 22-25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ages 13 and older. Students will explore career pathways and workforce programs while gaining exposure to high-demand industries and technical skills.
July Camp Offerings:
 
  • NFC Theatre Stars Camp: July 6-23 from 1-5 p.m. for ages 6-14. The three-week camp allows students to develop acting, stage presence and performance skills while preparing for a final showcase.
  • Speech & Debate Camp: July 6-9 from 8 a.m. to noon for incoming sixth through 11th grade students. Campers will strengthen public speaking, critical thinking and communication skills through interactive activities and competitions.
  • Pickleball Camp: July 6-9 from 1-5 p.m. for ages 10-16
  • Volleyball Camp: July 13-16 from 8 a.m. to noon for incoming sixth through 12th grade students. Space is limited for both camps.
  • Trucks, Timber & Teamwork Camp: July 13-16 from 8 a.m. to noon for ages 10-16. The camp focuses on teamwork, forestry and equipment exploration through engaging activities.
  • Beginners Middle Grades Band Camp: July 13-16, 8 am to noon.
  • Middle Grades Band Camp: July 20-23, 8 a.m. to noon.
  • Leadership Camp: July 20-23 from 8 a.m. to noon for ages 13-16, will help students strengthen leadership, teamwork and personal development skills through interactive experiences and group activities. The camp will be hosted by NFC President Dr. Jennifer Page, Student Government Association members and members of the NFC management team, giving students the opportunity to learn directly from campus leaders and student mentors. 
The 2026 NFC Future Sentinels Summer Explorers Camps will conclude with a Summer Explorers Showcase on July 23 from 5-6 pm in the NFC Student Center and Fine Arts Auditorium, featuring an awards ceremony, student slideshow presentation, jazz performance and theatre production celebrating the accomplishments and experiences of campers throughout the summer. 
 
Camp costs range from $50 to $75 depending on the program. Registration is now open.
