Solicitation Purpose: North Florida College (NFC) is soliciting responses from general contractors for apply for pre-qualified contractor status with the College. Invitation to Respond: NFC is soliciting responses from general contractors for the purpose of pre-qualification to be eligible to bid on minor projects, including a welding lab expansion, during fiscal year 2026-2027 on the main campus in Madison, Florida. Responses must be submitted as prescribed in the RFQ-NFC-04-2026 Specifications Document. The deadline for receipt of sealed RFQ responses, clearly marked on the outside with RFQ-NFC-04-2026 and respondent’s name, to NFC, 325 NW Turner Davis Dr., Bldg. 3, Rm. 19, Madison FL 32340 is 2:00 p.m. is September 2, 2026. Late and emailed submissions will not be considered. Responses received by the deadline will be opened in a public meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Bldg. 9, Rm. 20, to prepare a list of respondents for consideration for pre-qualification. Submission responses will be evaluated by a committee in a public meeting on September 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Bldg. 9 Rm. 20 on the main campus of NFC. Notice of intent to award this RFQ is expected later that same day on this web page. RFQ award is expected at the regularly scheduled DBOT meeting on September 15, 2026. Notice of RFQ award will be posted on this web page on September 16, 2026. NFC reserves the right to reject any or all responses to the RFQ, to waive any or all informalities in regards thereto, and to award pre-qualification certificates which are in the best interest of NFC.
