Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the daily accounting operations of the Business Office, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, and providing exceptional service to our students, faculty, and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Below are listed the primary tasks identified for this position. The duties articulated, though not exhaustive, indicate the majority of the functions assigned to this position. Other duties may be assigned based on institutional need.
- Assist the Chief Business Officer in maintaining the accuracy of the College's accounting records including observance of generally accepted accounting principles. Prepare various accounting reports as required.
- Responsible for reconciling all College bank accounts.
- Responsible for all banking transactions including investment and tracking of College funds.
- Maintains all grant files.
- Responsible for ensuring all fiscal grant reporting requirements are accurately and timely prepared and submitted to grantors.
- Required to be familiar with all College grants and the applicable grantor requirements. This includes knowledge of current Federal guidelines (i.e. OMB 2 CFR Part 200) and State standards (i.e. FLDOE Green Book).
- Work with campus grant managers and funding agencies to ensure that grant funds are properly spent and accounted for in the records of the College.
- Assist the campus grant managers by monitoring grant budgets and deadlines.
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all required Federal and State payroll reports. This duty includes, but is not limited to; tax, retirement, health insurance, and other benefits-related reporting.
- Reviews monthly payroll to ensure its accuracy.
- Prepare accurate and timely payments for payroll taxes, retirement, insurance, and related obligations of the College and its employees.
- Responsible for responding to employee questions regarding payroll and other financial status.

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Coordinator of Accessibility Services to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and coordination of a comprehensive program of services for students with disabilities. This employee must have a personal and educational philosophy compatible with the goals, objectives, and mission of North Florida College and the Office of Accessibility Services.
The Sentinel in this position is required to be knowledgeable and comply with all state and federal laws and guidelines included but not limited to: Americans with Disability Act of 1990 and its Amendments; Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act; Florida Statutes: 1000.02, 1000.03, 1004.02, 1004.91, 1006.52, 1007.02, 1007.264, 1007.265, 1008.24, 1009.41, 1007.25; and Florida Administrative Codes: 6A-10.040, 6A-10.041, and 6A-20.111.

- Works closely with students to promote independence, self-advocacy, and full participation in academic and other programs. Provides support to students in resolving disability-related issues that may be barriers to academic success.
- Serves as a liaison and educator for students, faculty, and staff. Provides training to faculty and staff in developing reasonable approaches to accommodating the needs of students and maintaining standards of academic excellence. Ensures campus-wide awareness of the legal ramifications of compliance failures.
- Continually reviews Federal and State regulations that govern the provision of disability services.
- Completes the intake process of students with disabilities, evaluates documentation to determine eligibility and appropriate reasonable accommodations, and disseminates accommodation letters to instructors.
- Communicates with students and faculty to ensure reasonable accommodations are provided to students. Facilitates student accommodated testing including scheduling, administration, and use of assistive technology with instructors and students as required, proctoring exams as necessary.
- Provides appropriate adaptive devices, auxiliary aids, interpretive services, and other direct services for students. Monitors assistive equipment and suggest replacements/upgrades as necessary.
- Keeps up-to-date records on all students requesting accommodation and maintain individual case files and confidential student records in accordance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and records/retention laws.
- Makes referrals for those students who are receiving accommodation and/or services for other needs such as academic advising, career exploration, personal counseling, financial aid counseling, life skills workshops, and advocating and preparing students to transition to a four-year university encouraging the student to become part of the campus culture. Coordinates with internal departments as necessary to provide a support system for students.
- Compiles and prepares reports, evaluations, and surveys of program services for students, faculty, and staff with disabilities as required by the state, federal government, or the college. Monitors and tracks students use of accommodation services and program retention/completion rates of students with disabilities. Collects data to measure the success and alignment of the program with departmental assessments and institutional strategic plan and goals.
- Assists students with the Course Substitution process and keeps accurate records of approved course substitutions.
- Supervises and trains student assistants (note-takers, tutors, office assistant) for programs, services, and office support.
- Develops information related to the Office of Accessibility Services for the NFC website, literature, and materials as needed (print and online).
- Serves on various committees as a consultant on accessibility issues.
- Provides accommodations at all College sponsored functions and events.
- Assists with campus ADA compliance, including syllabus and curriculum compliance.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience in disability services, student services, or case management services is preferred. Applicable experience plus an Associate’s Degree may be substituted for the educational requirement.

Summary
This position is a Part-Time OPS position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of North Florida College. This position reports to the Custodial Supervisor, and as assigned no more than 25 hours per week. There are no benefits associated with this position.

- Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors.
- Washes windows as needed.
- Dusts furniture.
- Disposes of trash and waste paper.
- Cleans walks and assists in keeping outside premises in an orderly condition.
- Cleans and dusts offices, classrooms and hallways.
- Maintains bathroom facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Previous custodial experience is strongly preferred.

Other Personal Services (OPS) Employment is an employer/employee relationship used solely for the accomplishment of short-term tasks. To be eligible for OPS employment, an individual must not be filling an established position.
