Public Invited to Manufacturing Day and Career Expo at NFCC on Thursday, October 13th

MADISON, FL – CareerSource North Florida and North Florida Community College are hosting a Manufacturing Day and Career Expo at the NFCC campus in Madison, FL, on October 13th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event will feature a forum and a “meet & greet” with regional employers and NFCC Career and Technical Education personnel. Lunch will be provided for participants.

EMPLOYERS – Display information about your company to job seekers and students

STUDENTS & COMMUNITY – Attend and learn about regional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers in Manufacturing, Medical Coding, Nursing, Education, Law Enforcement/Corrections, Emergency Medical Services and Office Technology

JOB SEEKERS – Be ready to network and explore regional employment opportunities

“We are extremely proud to partner with CareerSource North Florida on this event,” said David Dunkle, Associate Dean of Economic Development and Technical Programs at NFCC. “We hope that by bringing a variety of speakers and industries together, in conjunction with Manufacturing Day, job seekers and those seeking to upgrade their training will have a better understanding of the career and training opportunities available. Last year we had approximately 200 people attend and we look forward to another successful event.”

All are invited to attend. The Manufacturing Day and Career Expo will begin in Van H. Priest Auditorium (Bldg. 1) at 10 a.m. with presentations by guest speakers from regional industries and will continue in the NFCC Career and Technical Education Center (Bldg. 13) where lunch will be provided.
