Koch Companies Donates $5,000 to NFC Foundation to Support Taylor County Students

PERRY, FL (July 14, 2022) – Koch Companies, the parent company of Georgia-Pacific’s Foley Cellulose mill in Perry, has donated $5,000 to the North Florida College Foundation to provide scholarships for Taylor County students attending North Florida College. The donation continues Foley Cellulose’s long-standing and generous support of local students, education, and NFC Foundation scholarships.

Georgia-Pacific Foley Cellulose Public Affairs Manager Scott Mixon presented the $5,000 donation to NFC’s Director of Resource Development Traci McClung, Dean of Academic Affairs Jennifer Page, and Director of the College Center in Perry Cindy Dunkle, at the Taylor County Chamber of Commerce meeting on June 24.

“Georgia-Pacific is committed to the education of our future workforce in this region.  We appreciate the leadership of North Florida College and the North Florida College Foundation’s consistent commitment to provide educational opportunities to our students,” said Mixon.

“Donors like Georgia-Pacific, a Koch Company, help make dreams a reality for students who wish to pursue higher education,” said McClung. “With the support of our partners, local students receive the scholarship funding they need to enroll at NFC in a certificate or degree program and start making a better life for themselves.”
