250 Years in 250 Days
Beginning October 28, 2025, and culminating on July 4, 2026, North Florida College will mark 250 years of U.S. independence with 250 days of history, reflection, and engagement. We will highlight America’s journey from 1776 to today, while engaging students, faculty, staff, and the community.

- NFC celebrates "250 Years in 250 Days" by posting a monthly showcase of (lesser known) military milestones that span the 250 years our nation fought for and secured our freedoms.These entertaining and informative videos are created by NFC faculty.

- Sentinel Upstage Players hosted a themed performance open to the community.
- Freedom Fridays: Once each term during “250 Years in 250 Days”, NFC will host pop-up campus events featuring themed music, food, or activities.
- NFC will honor our veterans’ service as we are now part of their journey toward chasing their academic or career dreams.
- Partner with veteran groups, county chambers, and city councils in our six-county service district to celebrate Veterans Day (Nov 11, 2025), Memorial Day (May 25, 2026), and Independence Day (July 4, 2026)
- Interactive Engagement includes inviting NFC students, alumni, faculty, staff, and supporters to participate in their local events
- Hosting Civics and Debate Initiative for debate event on November 15th
NFC, with the Florida College System, celebrates America250FL,which invites all Floridians to join us in the United States' Semiquincentennial Anniversary,where events and celebrations lead up to—and on—July 4, 2026.
